Investigating the role of natively produced membrane vesicles from Burkholderia vietnamiensis PR1₃₀₁ in metal-microbe interactions.

Evaluating the toxicity of manufactured metal oxide nanoparticles to Burkholderia vietnamiensis PR1₃₀₁ relative to the free ionic form of the metal.

Identifying the structure of a siderophore produced by a Gram-positive isolated from Ni-contaminated sediments.

Developing an effective method to use gel electrophoresis laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry to quantify and identify metal species of the metalloproteome.
